1.) Warm Coconut Oil

To use coconut oil for hair growth, you should first heat it. Gently warm a jar of coconut oil by putting it in warm water. It will melt after placing it in warm water. Do not use a microwave to warm the coconut oil as it can damage and alter the chemical structure of the oil.

2.) Massage Hair with Warm Coconut Oil

Pour the warm oil onto the top of your head and distribute it uniformly on your hair. Now, gently massage the scalp and then move your hands along the rest of the hair from root to end.

3.) Give it Time and Wash

Let the coconut oil soak up deep into the scalp by covering it with a shower cap. Leave the hair undisturbed for at least one hour. You can also leave it for the whole night to get a deep coconut oil treatment. Remove the cap and wash the hair until it no longer feels oily. This may take up to three items of washing with a gentle shampoo. You can leave the hair to air-dry or use a hair dryer. Once you are done, you would be amazed seeing amazing looking hair that is beautiful and healthy.

4.) Hair Conditioner

Coconut oil is totally free from the harmful chemicals that lurk in commercial hair care products, and this makes it an excellent conditioner. According to several studies it has found that coconut oil outperforms mineral oil and sunflower oil. Coconut oil is the only oil which is effective in protein loss. Avoid all beauty products that claim to contain mineral oil, especially for children. The lauric acid prevents protein loss that leads to breakage and dryness.  To condition your hair with coconut oil is quite simple. Take a ¼ teaspoon of warm oil for short hair and ½ teaspoon for long hair in your palm. You should pay special attention while working on ends and the shafts of the hair. After washing your hair with natural shampoo apply warm coconut oil to the hair, the amount will vary according to hair length. Massage the scalp properly, cover the hair with a shower cap and leave for one hour. Then simply wash it off with a shampoo.

5.) Coconut Oil to Treat Dandruff

There is most effective essential oil to fight fungus and yeast preventing hair from damaging. Wash your hair with natural shampoo and then massage your hair with a blend of two teaspoons of coconut oil and five drops of each lavender, wintergreen, thyme, and tea tree. Make sure to apply the mixture properly into the scalp, neck, forehead, and behind the ears. You should cover your hair with a shower cap and leave the hair without washing for half an hour. You can also use a hair dryer set on a low heat to heat the cap. Wash the hair with a gentle natural shampoo and repeat the process 2 to 3 times per week.

6.) Lice Prevention and Treatment

To keep head lice at bay, mix three tablespoons of coconut oil with one teaspoon of each anise and tea tree oil. Just increase the amount to double for longer hair. Gently massage the scalp with the solution, take special care at the ends. Cover the head with a shower cap and allow it working for two hours. You should periodically heat the cap either using a hair dryer or sit in the sun. After two hours, comb your hair before washing it. While the hair is still wet, combine two cups of apple cider vinegar and one cup of water in a small spray bottle. Spray ½ the bottle on the scalp and hair then lean on over the sink and pour rest of the mixture over the hair, massaging gently. After that, rinse your hair thoroughly and comb hair once again with a fine comb.
