1.) Apply Apple Cider Vinegar to Prevent Dandruff in Winter

Apple Cider Vinegar helps in restoring pH scale of your scalp. It also inhibits the growth of yeast causing dandruff. It is a natural hair clarifier that can easily clean hair follicles and clogged pores. So, to use this remedy, follow these steps:

  • Mix equal amount of water with two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar.
  • Also, add 15-20 drops of tea tree oil in this solution.
  • Mix it well.
  • Apply this mixture on your hair scalp directly.
  • After few minutes just rinse your hair.
  • Use this remedy 2-3 times in a week to prevent dandruff.

2.) Apply Baking Soda to Prevent Dandruff in Winter

Baking soda contains amazing exfoliating properties that help in absorbing excessive oil and removing dead skin cells from your scalp. It even helps in balancing pH scale of your scalp. It can also inhibit the growth of fungi causing dandruff. To prepare this natural treatment, follow these steps:

  • Firstly make your hair  damp with water and then rub a handful of baking soda on your scalp.
  • After a few minutes, just rinse your hair with warm water.

Note: Do not wash your hair with shampoo after using this treatment.

3.) Use White Vinegar to Prevent Dandruff in Winter

  • Take two cups of water and add one and a half cup of vinegar in it. Use this mixture to rinse your hair after shampooing.
  • Another option is to prepare a mixture of one part olive oil, two parts white vinegar, and three parts water. Mix it well and massage your hair using this mixture. Leave it on your hair for 10 minutes, then rinse it off by using a mild shampoo and lukewarm water.

4.) Apply Olive Oil to Prevent Dandruff in Winter

Olive oil is a natural moisturizer that contains countless benefits for hair. This essential oil helps in preventing dryness caused due to dandruff. So, to cure dryness of scalp, just massage your hair once in a week with extra-virgin olive oil. Use only warm olive oil to massage your dry scalp. Leave it on your hair for at least 45 minutes. Wash your hair with shampoo and a conditioner.

5.) Indian Lilac to Prevent Dandruff in Winter

  • Take four cups of water in a container and add a handful of Indian Lilac leaves in it.

  • Mix juice of half lemon in a little amount of coconut oil.

  • Take one-fourth cup of plain yogurt and mix juice of half lemon in it. Mix it well and prepare a mixture and apply it on your hair and scalp directly. Leave it on your hairs for about 20 minutes. After this, just rinse it off with shampoo and water.
  • Alternatively, you may also massage your scalp using lemon and water solution. After doing this, just leave it on your hair for 5 minutes and then rinse it off using shampoo and water. It is a great way to prevent dandruff from your hair.

9.) Fenugreek Seeds to Prevent Dandruff in Winter

The fenugreek seeds contain great anti fungal and soothing properties that helps a lot in preventing dandruff effectively. To use this remedy, follow these steps:

  • Pour 2-3 teaspoons of fenugreek seeds in a container containing water and to soak it overnight.
  • Next morning, just grind them and prepare a fine paste.
  • You may also add a few teaspoons of plain yogurt to this paste.
