How to Get Rid of a Boil?

1.) Tea Tree Oil to Get Rid of a Boil

Tea tree oil is well-known for its antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-fungal properties that come handy for treating boils, pimples and acne. The oil is used in a number of cosmetics as well. All you have to do is in a small bowl, add a teaspoon of tea tree oil and lavender oil. Dip a cotton ball into it and apply it over the affected area. Repeat this remedy until you find satisfactory results.

2.) Epsom Salt to Get Rid of Boil

Epsom salt is very absorbent in nature. It helps to speed up the healing process. In a bowl, mix 2 cups of water and ¼ cup of Epsom salt. Dip a washcloth in this mixture and gently dab it over the boil. Leave it on for a few minutes and then repeat it again. However, if the boil is on the stomach or on the back then you can go for the sitz bath. Fill your bathtub with warm water and add a cup of Epsom salt to it. Soak yourself in the tub for a few minutes. Do this daily to treat the boils.

3.) Onion to Get Rid of a Boil

The antiseptic properties present in the onion makes it an ideal remedy to treat a boil. It speeds up the healing process and draw out the heat in the boil which can burst the boil. Also, it treats the pain and inflammation around the boils. Cut an onion into thick pieces and gently rub it over the affected area. Cover it with a cloth and leave for a while. Change the slices after a few minutes. Do this regularly on a daily basis to get rid of the boil.

4.) Garlic to Get Rid of a Boil

Another home remedy which can help you counter the nasty boil is garlic. All thanks to its antibacterial properties which make it worth using. Extract juice from fresh garlic. Apply the juice to the boils with the help of a cotton swab and leave it on for a few minutes. Repeat this process 2 times a day. Alternatively, you can make a paste of garlic and turmeric. Apply this paste over the affected area and rinse it off when it dries.

5.) Milk Cream to Get Rid of a Boil

Milk cream reduces the risk of infection and treats the boil. Moreover, it hydrates the surface making it soft. Apply some fresh milk cream over the affected area and leave it on for a few minutes. Then rinse it off with the warm water. Do this regularly to bid adieu to the boil.

6.) ACV to Get Rid of a Boil

Apple cider vinegar is a boon for the body. Being a natural antiseptic, it has antimicrobial properties which fightbacks the infection. In a bowl mix a tablespoon of ACV and a teaspoon of honey. Mix it thoroughly and apply over the affected area with the help of a cotton swab. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Do this 2-3 times a day to get rid of a boil. If you find ACV strong then you can add a teaspoon of water to the mixture to dilute it.

7.) Black Seeds to Get Rid of a Boils

Black seed can also help you treat the boils. It is loaded with the medicinal properties that speed up the healing process and also draws out the fluid. Grind handful of black seeds. Add a little water to it to make a thick paste. Apply this paste over the affected area and leave it on to dry. Later, rinse it off with warm water. Alternatively, black seeds oil can also give you relief from the boils and infection.

8.) Turmeric to Get Rid of a Boil

Turmeric purifies blood and the anti-inflammatory properties present in it help to combat the boils. The yellow herb is packed with the medicinal property that helps to heal the infection fast. In a bowl mix turmeric, garlic powder and a few drops of water to make a thick paste. Apply this paste over the affected area of the skin and rinse it off with lukewarm water when it dries. There is another way as well that will treat you internally. Mix a teaspoon of turmeric powder in a hot glass of milk and drink it 2-3 times a day.

9.) Cornmeal to Get Rid of a Boil

Cornmeal is also a good absorbent that can help cure a boil. Boil half cup of water and add a tablespoon of cornmeal to it. Let it boil until you get a thick paste. Apply this paste over the affected area and rinse it off when it dries.  Repeat this remedy 2-3 times a day to get rid of the boils.

10.) Indian Lilac to Get Rid of a Boil

Indian lilac is a wonderful remedy for all types of skin infections such as a boil, acne, pimple, whiteheads, blackheads and other skin problems. It has anti-bacterial, antiseptic and anti-microbial properties. Grind a few Indian lilac leaves and apply the paste of  it on the affected area of the skin. Boil a glass of water with a handful of Indian lilac leaves. Boil it until it turns into green and reduces to half. Allow this water to cool. Strain it and use it to rinse the affected skin. To cure other skin problems dry some Indian lilac leaves, crush them to a powder, mix a pinch of turmeric and fuller earth into it. Add water into it to get a thick paste. Apply this on the affected skin area. Leave it in for a few minutes and then rinse it.

11.) Warm Compress to Get Rid of a Boil

A warm compress will also help you to heal a boil. It will improve the circulation and treats the inflammation and the pain due to a boil. Fill a bowl with water. Dip a washcloth into it. Wring out the excess water and place the cloth over the affected area of the skin. Leave it on until it cools. Repeat this several times to cure a boil

12.) Antibiotics to Get Rid of a Boil

The boil may cause pain and inflammation. To counter the symptoms, you can have antibiotics. However, consult your doctor for correct dosage. It is very important to finish the medicine course otherwise, the infection may come back.
