How to Use Tea Tree Oil for Acne?

Acne and pimples are common skin problem among and females. However, women are more vulnerable to acne because their body produces more oil as compared to the male body. But that does not mean men are a void of this problem. Even they also experience this skin problem. Acne is a result of the dust, residue of the makeup and oil accumulated in the skin. The problem is prominent during adolescence because the hormonal changes are at a high level during that stage. Nevertheless, it is not a major problem. There are many home remedies for acne. Ways to Use Tea Tree Oil for Acne:

1.) Apply Tea Tree Oil Directly on Acne

The antibacterial and anti-fungal properties of tea tree oil make it an ideal remedy for acne. Directly apply the oil on the acne at its onset itself. It will disinfect the pores and dry the acne. Dip a Q-Tip in the oil and gently apply it over the acne or a pimple. Make sure you do not exert pressure on the acne through the Q-Tip otherwise it will pop and spread the bacteria. Leave it for a few hours or overnight and rinse it next day. Do not forget to clean the affected skin before applying tea tree oil. If you have a sensitive skin, then you can mix some water in the oil and then apply it on the affected skin.

2.) Aloe-Vera Gel with Tea Tree Oil for Acne

If you have a dry skin, then tea tree oil will dry your skin further to avoid such condition mix Aloe-Vera gel in the oil. It moisturizes the skin and keeps the  dryness at the bay. Moreover, tea tree oil will help to reduce the scars of acne and pimples. The combination of Aloe-Vera gel and tea tree oil works best for reducing the spots, scars and marks of the acne and pimple without drying your skin. Instead of Aloe-Vera, you can use honey also. It also hydrates the skin. For effective result, you can mix all the three remedies and use it.

3.) Green Clay Powder with Tea Tree Oil for Acne

A home made face pack can also help you to get rid of the acne and pimples. Mix 3-4 drops of tea tree oil with 2 tablespoons of clay powder, add a few drops of water  and stir it enough to get a thick paste. Apply this face mask on the affected skin, face covering your neck. Let the clay dry and then wash it with water. Apply this homemade face pack 1-2 times in a week. It will dry the acne and eliminate the scar, leaving healthy and supple skin behind.

4.) Jojoba Oil, Tomato and Tea Tree Oil For Acne

Another way of using  tea tree oil to remove acne is mix it with jojoba oil and tomato juice. The mask will refresh your skin and will give you beautiful and glowing skin. Grate a tomato and mix 2-3 drops of tea tree oil and 1 teaspoon of jojoba oil in it. Apply this herbal mask over the face with the help of a cotton ball. Make sure you cover the entire face along with the neck. Leave it on for 8-10 minutes, then  rinse your face with lukewarm water.

5.) Scrub With Tea Tree Oil for Acne

You can also use tea tree oil scrub to eliminate the acne. But if you don’t find the scrub, then you can make it at home as well. In a bowl, mix ¼ cup of sesame or olive oil, half cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon of honey and 7-8 drops of tea tree oil. Apply this natural scrub over the affected skin, face, and neck. Then gently massage it in the circular motion. It will increase the blood flow. Do this for 5 minutes and then wash your face with slightly warm water.

6.) Moisturize Your Skin With Tea Tree Oil

A moisturizer with tea tree oil is perfect for acne prone skin. However, if you don’t get the moisturizer, then you can mix a few drops of tea tree oil in your favorite moisturizer. Since tea tree oil does not hydrate the skin  so mixing it with the moisturizer is an excellent solution. The moisturizer will moisturize the skin, whereas tea tree oil, will help you to get rid of the acne and its scars.

7.) Bath with Tea Tree Oil

If you experience body acne then you can use tea tree oil while taking the bath. Body acne appears on arms, chest, back and other parts of the body. Add a few drops of tea tree oil in your bath water. Soak your body for 4-5 minutes in that water. The oil will not only help you to get rid of acne, in fact, it will add  fragrance. Regular using tea tree oil in bath water will keep a pimple and acne at the bay.

8.) Steam With Tea Tree Oil For Acne

Another way of treating acne with tea tree oil is to infuse the oil into the steam. Steam will open the clogged pores. It will also increase the blood flow, which is good for the skin. In a medium size bowl, pour warm water and 3-4 drops of tea tree oil. Cover your head, face and bowl in such a away that you can inhale the maximum steam. Moreover, it is a beneficial remedy for congestion  as well.

9.) Plain Yogurt with Tea Tree Oil for Acne

Yogurt contains lactic acid, which exfoliates the skin and eliminates the blemishes, scars of a pimple and acne. Whereas tea tree oil dries a pimple. The anti-fungal properties of the oil fight back with the bacteria and germs which lead acne and pimple. Since both the ingredients are helpful in removing the acne and their scar then why not mix them together and enjoy the benefit of both. In a small bowl, mix ¼ cup of curd with 4-5 drops of tea tree oil. Mix both the ingredients thoroughly and apply it on the face, neck, and another affected area. Leave it on for 15- 20 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Apply this face mask regularly to get rid of acne.

10.) Hazel Witch with Tea Tree Oil for Acne

Hazel which is a natural astringent. Mix it with tea tree oil to treat the stubborn acne. In a bowl, mix  4-5 drops of tea tree oil with 2 tablespoons of a hazel witch and apply it over the  infected skin with the help of a Q-Tip. Rinse it after 20 minutes. Avoid contact with sunlight when you have applied this mixture as UV rays can worsen the condition.

11.) Egg White with Tea Tree Oil for Acne

The combination of tea tree oil and egg white work as a wonder on all skin types. Tea tree oil inhibits the growth of bacteria and rips off the extra oil accumulated in the skin pores. The egg white moisturize the skin and treats the dryness. In a bowl add an egg white and a few drops of tea tree oil. Mix both the ingredients thoroughly. Apply this face mask on the face or acne prone skin. Leave it for a few minutes. At last, rinse it off with lukewarm water. Do this regularly to treat acne.

12.) Olive Oil and Tea Tree Oil for Acne

Olive oil is also a boon for all types of skin. It gives smooth and flawless skin. Whereas tea tree oil treats the acne, pimple, and their scars. In a small bowl mix a few drops of olive oil and tea tree oil. Apply this mixture on your face or affected skin. Massage it for a  while. Leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. For effective results apply this mixture regularly.
