The first way of getting rid of mold from your house is to locate the areas. You will need to look out for those places where molds are present. Mark out those places and try to prevent the nearby places from getting affected by mold. To prevent the nearby areas, you will need to keep your house damp and moist free. Try to keep your washroom floors dry. Prevent the leakage of the taps, water tanks, showers, etc.

2.) Reduce Humidity to Get Rid of Mold

The next very step for you to follow is to reduce the atmosphere of humidity. When there is too much of humidity present in the atmosphere the parasites tend to get attracted to those places. And the maximum time for the parasite to turn into mold is 24 to 48 hours. So, whenever you are on with some household chores, try to keep every place humid free. Keep the places dry and repair your leakage problem around the house. That will keep the mold at bay.

3.) Bleach to Get Rid of Mold

Bleach contains chlorine that fights the fungal infection. The use of bleach will be effective on the tiles, glass, bathtubs and counter tops. All you will need to do is make a solution of bleach and water in the ratio of 1:10. Now spray that solution onto the non-porous areas. And let it set for 10 minutes. Then try to wipe it off with a cotton cloth or a sponge. After which spray it again on the same area. This will help you to clean the dirt and prevent the further spread of mold in the future.

4.) Vinegar to Get Rid of Mold

Vinegar is not only good for culinary purposes, but for the topical appliance as well. It consists of the acid  content that is responsible for killing the molds. In comparison to bleach vinegar is non toxic and don’t give any kind of odor. Therefore, pour white vinegar in a spray bottle without diluting with water. Now spray it on the affected areas. Leave the areas to settle down for 1 to 2 hours with the essence of vinegar. After which wipe it with a sponge. And try to check for the smell of vinegar. If there is the essence still on it, then it will prevent the mold to feed on it in future.

5.) Borax to Get Rid of Mold

Borax is generally used as a cleaning product. The borax has been in use to clean the toilets and drains. It is a simple powdery chemical substance. Borax is toxic in nature and does not spread any smell. For this remedy, you will need to add  borax and water in the ratio of 1:10. Now you just need a scrubber to extract the area affected with mold. Try to clean up the paces with the solution and leave it to set. You are not required to wipe it off.

6.) Ammonia to Get Rid of Mold

Ammonia is another substance that is similar to bleach. They have somewhat similar property of being toxic in nature. But do not try to mix ammonia with bleach as it can be harmful. You will need to mix ammonia and water in equal amount in a bottle. Try to use a spray bottle. That will be more convenient to use. Then spray it on the affected areas. And leave for 1 to 2 hours. And later on, wipe it clean. That will at least kill the mold present in it.

7.) Baking Soda to Get Rid of Mold

Baking soda is the best ingredient that is available in your home. Add 1 tablespoon of baking soda in a spraying bottle. And spray it around the house. After which spray it on the places that is affected with mold. For this repeat the same procedure that is mentioned in point 3.

8.) Tea Tree Oil To Get Rid of Mold

Tea tree oil is the essential oil that is helpful as one of the best home remedy. Tea tree oil contains anti-fungal properties.That is very effective in killing mold. So, you will only require a few drops of tea tree oil to keep the mold at bay. The amount required for both tea tree oil and water is 1 teaspoon in 1 cup of water. Now add this in the spray bottle. And spray it on the damaged portions around your house. And you are not required to clean up the sprayed solution. It will get absorbed itself on the surface. And will prevent further from future mold.

9.) Grapefruit Seed to Get Rid of Mold

Grapefruit seed extract can be used to kill the mold. This is very helpful in the long run. It has the similar properties as that of tea tree oil. Thereby you will need to add 10 drops of grapefruit seed extract in 1 cup of water. Mix it well to make a solution. And pour it in a spray bottle. Then spray it on the mold affected areas. This will kill the parasites and help in the long run to prevent the formation of mold.

Try not use the different remedies altogether. It means if you are applying one option then try to stick on to it. Else, if you try to use one on top of another. It will not be effective to kill the mold and prevent it from future.
