1.) Clean the Area to Prevent Scarring

Wipe all the dirt, pebbles, blood and other unwanted things accumulated around the wound. Wash the area with warm water and soap. Avoid hydrogen peroxide, since it stops the formation of the new blood cells and may lead to scarring. Apply gentle pressure over the wound to stop bleeding. After cleaning the area, seek medical attention. Small injuries can be treated at home itself by applying for the required medicine. However, there are serious injuries such as broken bone, skin tear and many others which need medical help. Do not avoid a wound. If you will do so then you will be at higher risk to get a scar. So, rinse the area as soon as possible and then look for medical attention.

Once you have clean the area and applied for the medicine at the time, half of the battle is won. It is dust particles, along with the bacteria, may enter the wound and does not let it heal. So, it is batter to be on safe side and cover the area. Moreover, if the wound will be covered then you will not able to touch it. But make sure you cover it with the correct bandage. The size of the bandage should be according to the size of the wound. Among bandages, you can opt for Hydrocolloid Bandages. They help in the healing process and keep the area moist. Or, you can also use on–adhesive dressing pads for sensitive skin. Make sure you change the bandage regularly and cover the bandage with a plastic sheet or something while taking a bath. Cover the wound with the bandage until it is healed completely.

There are many household ingredients which come handy to prevent scarring. Let’s start with Aloe-Vera gel. Well, we all know about the healing properties of the Aloe. So, why not to use it to treat the burn? If you experience boils or burns immediately apply fresh Aloe-Vera gel over the wound. It has cooling effects. Moreover, it will help you to subside the marks. For instant help use Aloe. Another remedy which can help you to cure your wound and prevent scarring is honey. 6.) Coconut Oil to Prevent Scaring
Coconut oil fades the scar and gives you clean and clear skin. It contains antioxidants and Vitamin E that supports the healing process. Moreover, coconut oil also has capric, lauric and caprylic acids that stimulate the production of collagen. Warm some coconut oil( virgin). Let it cool at room temperature. Then massage it for a few minutes onto the affected area of the skin. Do this 3-4 times a day.
7.) Lemon to Prevent Scaring
If the scar persists then you can apply lemon juice to treat it. Lemon has alpha hydroxy acids that have healing properties. It will remove the cells of the dead skin and promotes new cells. Moreover, it will improve the elasticity of the skin. You can use lemon to treat any kind of the scar that may be pimple scar, acne scar or any other scar. Apply lemon juice on the scar and leave it on for a few minutes. For spare results, you can mix Vitamin E with lemon juice. Apply the mixture on the affected skin. 8.) ACV to Prevent Scarring
Another remedy for scarring is apple cider vinegar. Its acidic nature exfoliated the damaged skin and removes the dead cells of the skin. It fades the appearance of the scar. and maintains the pH level of the skin. All you gave to do is, in a bowl mix altogether water and unfiltered raw ACV. Dip a cotton ball into it and place it on the affected skin. For effective results, you can add honey also in this mixture. Leave it for a few minutes and then rinse it off.
9.) Tea Tree oil to Prevent Scarring
Tea tree oil is also useful for treating the skin related problems. It has anti-inflammatory properties that come handy for reducing the marks, blemishes, and the scars. Mix an equal amount of water and tea tree oil and apply it over the scar with the help of the cotton ball. Leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse it off. You can also apply the mixture of tea tree oil and almond oil to get rid of the scars.
10.) Green Tea to Prevent Scaring
You can also apply green tea on the scar to reduce its size. The antioxidants present in the green tea helps to heal the scars. Place a green tea bag over the affected skin and leave it on for a few minutes. Later rinse it off with water. Do this 2-4 times a day until the scar is totally gone
