1.) Baking Soda to Soothe Skin from Sunburn

Baking soda is alkaline in nature which helps to soothe skin and lower down the pain caused by blisters. It heals the sunburn in a fast manner. Baking soda is in use for centuries due to its effective and high healing powers of skin disorders. Pour some baking soda in your bath tub and relax in it for 5 to 10 minutes. Gently dry your body by soft cloth this will help you to get benefit from sunburn.

To treat any kind of skin disorder the one remedy which strikes in our mind is Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera has the anti inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Cover it with a bandage so that honey, don’t rub on anything. Leave the bandage for 15-20 minutes, then wash off with cold water. Apply the honey at least 3 times in the day.

This soil is in use for centuries. It has properties to remove and absorb excess oil present in the skin and providing moisture to the skin if it is dry. It can be easily available at Indian grocery stores near your house. It helps in getting back the moisture and complexion  of the skin. It also helps to stop the over-drying of your skin. Take a bowl, add two teaspoons each of potter’s clay, rose water and sandalwood powder. Apply the paste on your face and other body parts where sunburn is present. Wash it after it dries up. Repeat the process at regular intervals.

Milk helps to soothe the swelling of skin caused by sunburn. It is one of the best remedies to soothe skin from sunburn. Take a glass of cold milk and two glasses of cold water. Mix them in a bowl and apply on your face and other body parts with cotton swab. Rest the mixture on your body for an hour and rinse it off with cold water.

Cucumber is antioxidant and analgesic in nature which heal sunburn from inside of the skin. You can cut cucumber into pieces and place them on your affected body parts for 15 to 20 minutes. The other way is crush cucumber into a fine paste and apply the paste on your affected skin for 15 to 20 minutes. Wash it with cold water and gently dry with soft cloth.

Potatoes have been known as a sunburn reliever throughout the years. It works quite well on skin irritations and helps to soothe bites, burns, scratches as well as reduce inflammation. You can use both potato slices and potato juice to cure the sunburn. Clean the potato using tap water and grate them in a bowl. Directly apply the grated potato to your affected sunburn area using a muslin cloth. Let it rest for a few minutes until it dries up. Follow the method two to three times in a day for a few days.

12.) Cornstarch to Soothe Skin from Sunburn

Cornstarch has a cool, silky texture and is a great way to naturally calm your sunburn. It is one of those things that is easily found in the house. Cornstarch is beneficial as it provides quick relief. It can lower the pain and decrease the blazing red appearance of the sunburn. Add cold water in cornstarch to form a thick paste. Apply the paste gently on your sunburn area and wait until the redness is lowered. You can apply it two times in a day for a few days. Rinse it off with cold water.
