Brushing helps you to remove plaque which is a thin film of bacteria that are stuck to your teeth. The plaque can cause cavities, gum disease. If you ignore it then it may lead your teeth to fall out. Now, it becomes very important to know the best way to brush your teeth to avoid dental problems. Not following right brushing technique will lead to smelly mouth and people around you may keep away from you. 1.) Use a Good Brush

You should pick a toothbrush with a soft nylon bristles. This will remove the plaque and debris from the teeth. The toothbrush you are using should also fit comfortably in your hand. Don’t use a large head toothbrush as it may not reach to all your teeth especially at the back of your teeth. For lazy people, electric toothbrushes are great alternatives and encourage you to spend more time brushing your teeth. You might not need an electric brush if you know right technique to brush your teeth.

2.) Use Fluoride Toothpaste

Using toothpaste that contains fluoride will not help in removing plaque but also strengthen tooth enamel. Fluoride toothpaste is not meant to swallow as it may lead to severe serious health consequences. This toothpaste should not be used by kids. You can get toothpaste to avoid a wide variety of dental and gum problems, including tartar, sensitive teeth and gums, gingivitis, cavities, and stained teeth. It will help you to get a clean white teeth.

3.) Replace Your Toothbrush

Toothbrush starts losing their flexibility and effectiveness as bristles wear out over time. The toothbrush should get replaced in every three months of use. Don’t wait for bristle to splay out completely, get a new one after a period of time to avoid harmful bacteria infestation. It is recommended that you should brush at least twice a day. However according to some dental study brushing, three times is ideal. People often take it a burden to brush only two times but it won’t take hardly two minutes. Don’t feel lazy when it comes to brushing your teeth. Divide your mouth into four sections and donate 30 seconds to each part. You can also watch TV while brushing your teeth to spend time. Few electric toothbrushes also come with built in timer so you need not monitor timing.

6.) Don’t Overdo Brushing

Don’t brush your teeth more than three times as it will cause wear down your teeth’s enamel and also, damage your sensitive gums. You should take extra care while brushing your teeth by using a lighter touch. Be gentle while brushing your teeth as it is the best way to get whiter teeth.

6.) Rinsing Your Mouth

To spit out toothpaste after brushing take a sip of water using your hands under the faucet. Before spitting it out, swish water around your mouth. It will collect all the harmful stuff. Some people thing spitting using water can diminish the effectiveness of fluoride treatment. All of us don’t like toothpaste in their mouth so they can spit out. However, people having high cavities should not rinse their mouth. If you want to rinse then use a little water instead of filling the mouth with water. Studies say that there is no effect of rinsing of mouth after brushing on the effectiveness of fluoride, it will just work fine. You should use an alcohol-free mouthwash containing hydrogen peroxide as suggested by a dentist. This will improve the overall effect of fluoride in treating a dental problem. Mouthwash with suitable liquid also acts as a mouth freshener that keeps you feel good all day long.
