1.) Lemon Juice to Stop Whiteheads

The alpha hydroxyl acid present in lemon juice contains several properties that are great for curing whiteheads. It increases regeneration of cells and helps in calm skin exfoliation. Lemon also has astringent properties that help in getting rid of any surplus oil. This is a very simple home remedy for which you need some fresh lemon juice and a cotton swab. Apply the lemon juice to your skin with the help of a cotton swab and let it rest for a few minutes. Now, clean it with cold water. Do it daily and you will get rid of whiteheads easily.

2.) Tea Tree Oil to Stop Whiteheads

Tea tree oil has anti fungal and antibacterial properties, which can remove the bacteria from your skin. It removes the whiteheads effectively. This will also stop the occurrence of whiteheads in future. Tea tree oil can cause irritation or a rash if applied straight to the face. You must temper it with aloe Vera gel or water. First clean your face with a cleanser and then apply your mixture to the affected area with a cotton ball.

Dilute apple cider vinegar with water and apply the mixture to your face with a cotton swab. Let it stay for a few minutes before rinsing it off with a warm, damp cloth. A homemade sugar scrub can work as a charm for your skin. It will help to exfoliate your skin to take away excess oil and debris trapped in the pores without causing dryness. Combine together one tablespoon each of sugar and honey. Apply it on your face and gently rub in circular motions. Rest it on for a few minutes. Clean it off using a wet washcloth and then wash your face. Do this once or twice a week on a normal basis.

The salicylic acid it contain, is a popular ingredient used by big brands in the treatment of whiteheads. The other acid found in it is ellagic acid, protects the skin from harmful UV rays of the sun.

  • Crush three to four strawberries to make a thick paste.
  • Add a spoon of honey in the paste.
  • Apply it on your face and carefully rub in circular motions for a few minutes.
  • Wait for 5 to 10 minutes and then clean it with cold water.
  • Repeat it regularly in a week for a few months.
  • You can continue it after the getting rid of whiteheads.
