1.) Give Your Body the Due Rest

Tension and stress are the major causes of morning sickness. Reduce your stress level by taking enough rest, since exertion can worsen the morning sickness. Reading good books and listening to light music always helps to reduce the stress. Taking rest does not mean, doing nothing. Regular movement is good during pregnancy. Go for light workouts or  yoga that will help you to overcome morning sickness. Moreover, give your body rest from spicy, fried and fatty foods.

2.) Maintain Nutritional Level

Eating for two can be a huge task for pregnant women. It is one of the best remedies for morning sickness. However, they should maintain the ideal nutrition level by adding desired nutrients in their diet. Increase intake of food rich in calcium, proteins, Vitamins, iron, potassium, zinc and folic acid. Foods such as cereals, beans and legumes, broccoli, non-fat milk, bananas, lean meat, milk, yogurt, cheese, eggs, oatmeal, green leafy vegetables, whole grain bread, oranges, nut, butter, soy foods, dry fruits are beneficial during pregnancy.

There are different types of tea which you can consume during pregnancy to overcome  the sickness. The most common among them is ginger tea. It soothe your stomach and helps to get rid of motion sickness. Sip ginger tea whenever you feel sick. You can also drink red raspberry leaf tea. It helps you to keep morning sickness at the bay. The added advantage of this herb is that it relaxes and smooth muscles of the uterus. Other teas that you can try are herbal tea made up of chamomile, lemon and peppermint. However, if you witness heartburn avoid peppermint tea. It is better to consult your gynecologist whether you can have these tea’s or not!

Lemon has a natural calming effect. It relaxes your body and eventually reduces nausea. It is one of the best home remedies for morning sickness. The best way to treat nausea is drink lemon juice with the glass of water early in the morning. Or, in a bowl mix one tablespoon of lemon juice and mint juice, honey with half tablespoon ginger juice. Mix the ingredients properly. The mixture work as an  herbal medicine for nausea. Have this mixture 2-3 times a day.

Alternatively, you can add mint and sugar in lemon juice. Have this mixture 2-3 times in a day. Sometimes the smell of fresh lemon can only prevent nausea. Keep lemon candy in your bag while travelling. This too helps in reducing the morning sickness.

5.) Curry Leaves as a Remedy for Morning Sickness

To reduce the discomfort level and morning sickness during pregnancy consume boiled water with curry leaves. Alternatively, you can drink curry leaves juice mixed with lemon juice and sugar to treat nausea and morning sickness. Boil water and curry leaf into it. After a while strain the water and add 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice and sugar or honey. Mix all the ingredients properly and consume it 2-3 times a day.

Wood apple juice relieves morning sickness and prevents digestion related problems such as constipation and etc. Drink juice of the wood apple. Or, Take 1 wood apple and peel off the upper layer of it. Grind the rest of the part and add 4 tablespoons of cooked rice. Drink this mixture daily to avoid sickness.

7.) Potato Chips to Calm Stomach

Since you are pregnant, then you are allowed to eat everything but in a limit. (However, avoid fruits such as papaya which is not good in pregnancy.) During, pregnancy women’s have craving for particular food, especially for spicy and citrus foods. To overcome the craving have some homemade salty potato chips. The salt present in the chips dries the excess saliva, which produces in excess during nausea.

Cheese is a rich source of protein. Protein regulates blood glucose level and reduces the symptoms of morning sickness.Especially when you crave for carbohydrates. Eat cheese when you feel like vomiting. Cheddar cheese, cottage cheese or mozzarella cheese are best during pregnancy. Alternatively, add cheese in salads of green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits.

Fennel seeds calm the stomach and give instant relief from morning sickness. Fennel seeds have anesthetic components that cure nausea. After meals, chew fennel seeds. It will improve the digestion. Alternatively, you can have tea of fennel seeds. Boil one cup of water and add few crushed fennel seeds. Let it steep for a while. After 3-5 minutes strain the water and lemon and honey in it.

Most of the pregnant women believe that exercise will worsen their condition. But in contrary regular exercise helps you to combat stress and decreases discomfort caused during pregnancy. 11.) Eat at Small Intervals to Treat Morning Sickness

According to the doctors, pregnant women should eat in every two hours. Since a pregnant woman has to feed her baby (in the womb) also, so she might feel hungry early. So it’s better to eat 5 to 6 small, frequent meals in a day. Make sure your diet is enriched with carbohydrate and proteins which maintain the sugar level.

Drinking 10-12 glass of water in a day will serve your purpose. Also include fruits like water lemon, berries and etc. which have rich content of water. Include fruits and vegetable salad in your diet. However, avoid carbonated and hard drinks.
